A property management company emailed a work order to ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing to replace a pressure relief valve on the east side of one of their buildings. The pressure was reading too high, 85 psi instead of 45-65 psi. Another plumbing company had serviced the pressure regulators at the end of August.
The ASAP technician unplugged the recirculating pumps. The water supply was turned off from the ball valve under the regulator. He then removed the existing 1 1/4″ regulator and hose bib. Next the technician installed a new 1 1/4″ regulator and new hose bib. A new section of the 1 1/4″ copper pipe was also installed.
The water supply was turned back on and plugged back the recirculating pumps. The technician checked for leaks but there are no leaks at this time.
