A real estate management company approved a proposal provided by ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing to replace two light duty commercial water heaters at their property in San Diego, Ca.
The ASAP technician turned off gas and water supply to the water heaters. Once both were drained, the technician proceeded to remove dialectic union connections. Once removed, he noticed the ball valves for the water heaters were not shutting off completely and were still allowing water to pass through. The technician proceeded to turn off water main to complex in order to stop water from passing through. Both water heaters were removed from the water heater closet. The technician reconfigured the piping, installed an expansion tank for each water heater, and installed sediment traps for each water heater too. He installed new gas cocks and gas flex lines. The technician then removed four non-functional ball valves and soldered in four new ball valves. Once ball valves were replaced the technician restored the cold water supply to the complex.
The new water heaters were set in place and connected to the water supply. The technician also reconnected gas supply to heaters and reconfigured piping for recirculating pump. He reused pre-existing venting for water heaters and purged air from water heaters via the laundry faucet. Upon finishing installation technician checked for leaks and proper function. The water heaters are functioning properly and there are no leaks at this time.
