Repaired Leaking Water Heater in Imperial Beach, CA
A property management company called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because their tenant’s building in Imperial Beach, Ca had a leaking water heater. There was water heater coming out of the pipe at the top of the unit.
Upon arrival, the ASAP technician found a pinhole leak on the 1 1/4″ 90, hot side. The technician shut off the water supply to the building and drained the system. He cut out and replaced approximately 1 foot of 1 1/4″ copper pipe with needed fittings.
The technician replaced the 1 1/4″ full port ball valve. He installed a 1 1/4″ ball valve on the cold side to the water heater to be able to properly isolate the hot water side.
He restored the water and tested for leaks and proper function. There are no leaks at this time and the system is working properly.
