A property management company called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing due to a shut off valve not working. Their maintenance manager was trying to shut off the water to the building was unable to do so.
The ASAP technician had found that the 1/2″ copper pipe had come off the tee fitting at building F. The leak was located underneath the shower valve. Maintenance had opened up the shower wall to expose the leaking pipe. The ASAP technician had shut off water to buildings G and F. He cut out a section of the pipe and soldered in a new section of 1/2″ type L copper pipe and fittings.
The water supply was turned back on to the buildings and checked for leaks. There are no leaks at this time on the repair. The ASAP technician did advise to the maintenance manager that there is a leak at the shower valve. The maintenance manager said he would repair it.
