Our San Clemente Service Highlights
Our complete residential plumbing and commercial plumbing services include repair, installation, and maintenance for: faucets, gas lines, garbage disposals, grease traps, re-piping, showers and tubs, sinks, toilets, and water filtration. Whether you need preventive maintenance, a scheduled visit, or emergency plumbing services in San Clemente, we’ll be there.
We’ll always send out the right drain cleaning technician with all the right equipment. They fully understand the various types of clogs (grease, oils, fats, lint and fabric softener, hair and soap scum, and others) so they’ll be able to clear clogs quickly yet thoroughly. If an accumulation of grease and sludge has lead to recurring problems, our advanced hydro-jetting equipment can return the inside of your drain pipes to like-new condition. Hydro jetting can also be a valuable part of commercial drain maintenance for any facility that handles food.
Sometimes the cause of slow-running drains or a backed-up sink or toilet lies in the sewer line between your home or business and the San Clemente sewer system connection at the street. When that’s the case our sewer cleaning experts use top-of-the-line sewer video cameras to locate and inspect the obstruction. It could be a grease or sludge build up, tree roots, a foreign object, or a damaged sewer line.
Completely understanding the problem can make a big difference and save you money. Often the solution is simply a matter of basic sewer cleaning. In other situations we can use our high-pressure water jetting equipment to cut through tree roots, avoiding the cost and inconveniences of digging. Except for older buildings sewer repair is rarely necessary.
Water Leak Detection and Repair in San Clemente
Leaks don’t just wastewater. If ignored they lead to stains, mold, warped wood, and other water damage. If you suspect you have a problem but can’t track it down, our leak detection specialists have you covered. Using their experience combined with state-of-the-art electronic leak detection instruments they’ll know for sure if there is indeed a problem. If there is, they’ll be able to locate it without making a bunch of holes. We can then complete a leak repair, including various type of pipe repairs.
Slab Leak Repair
If your water, sewer, or gas leak is underneath the concrete floor slab you’ll need what’s called a slab leak repair. Spot repairs involve hacking through that concrete, but in some cases that may be the most economical solution. Depending on the location of the slab leak and the general condition of the pipes your options are likely to include routing new pipe around the outside of the slab as well as pipe lining (installing a cured-in-place inner lining).
Tankless Water Heaters
Without a big tank that continuously looses heat, tankless water heaters save energy big-time. And if they’re installed at or near the point of use (say under a kitchen or bathroom cabinet) they save water — there’s no waiting for hot water to make its way to the tap. They can also mean never running out of hot water. Our water heater specialists are experienced in installing, maintaining, and repairing tankless water heaters.
Hot Water Heaters
Having trouble with your water heater? Funny sounds, not enough hot water, or simply no hot water at all? Our trouble shooters go directly to the real problem to save you money. Most repairs take only a single visit of an hour or so. Old one worn out? We can complete a replacement water heater installation in just a couple of hours, often the same day you call. To keep that investment lasting longer, manufacturers recommend annual drain-and-flush maintenance to remove sediments. That also improves efficiency and heating capacity. We would be happy to schedule regular service for you.
Water Quality in San Clemente
The City of San Clemente’s Utilities Division has been issuing annual water quality reports since 1990. Their 2017 report shows tap water meeting or exceeding all standards. That says a lot considering that much of their supply is imported from the Colorado River. (http://san-clemente.org/home/
But residents and business alike do have problems with hard water. Anything over 10.5 grains per gallon (gr/gal) or 180 parts per million (ppm) of calcium carbonate is considered very hard . That’s a naturally occurring mineral, and actually contributes a little bit to a person’s daily supply of calcium. San Clemente’s water tests at 17-18 gr/gal, 292-300 ppm. That’s pretty common in Southern California, but it does mean mineral deposits on shower doors, scale build up in water heaters, less effective bathing and shampooing, and less than the best-tasting coffee and tea. So many San Clemente homes and businesses install water softeners.
