Repaired Leaking Garbage Disposal in Carlsbad, CA

A property management company emailed ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing a work order to repair a leaking garbage disposal in a tenant’s unit.

The ASAP technician found water to be leaking from the bottom of the garbage disposal. The 1/2hp garbage disposal needed to be replaced. A new Insinkerator 1/2hp garbage disposal replaced the leaking one. After installation of the new garbage disposal, the tech ran water in the sink for several minutes to ensure its proper function and no leaks.

The tech also found that the P-trap was not glued correctly and also leaking. He cut out the P-trap and installed a new union-style P-trap. He then glued in new piping and used Fernco bands to complete the repair. The sink was filled and drained all at once to ensure there were no leaks. There are no leaks at this time. Lastly the tech cleaned the work area.
