Emergency Leak Investigation and Leak Repair in Solana Beach, CA

Upon arrival, the ASAP technician found water on bedroom floor. He found water coming up from floor. The technician located the water heater in the garage and made a 6”x6” access hole on side of water heater stand. He found the 3/4” copper line going into concrete from water heater but there were no leaks from copper line in the wall. He determined that there was a slab leak, a pinhole leak in copper line in the bedroom. The technician turned off the water supply to water heater to stop the leak. The technician recommended to reroute hot water line which was then approved by the management company.

The technician cut the old hot water line from water heater to wall. He installed the new water heater connections from wall to water heater. Then he ran the new 3/4” hot water line from wall to outside of home. He continued to run new water line down side of home and across home. He then made two 1’x1’ access holes in back bedroom closet to access hot manifold. He ran a new hot water line from outside of home into and through bathroom/bedroom closet wall and installed new hot water line to hot manifold. The water supply was turned on and tested but there are no further leaks at this time. The new hot water lines were insulted and secured to the side of home. The technician sealed around new water lines that entered home. Lastly, the work area was cleaned.
