Water from hot side shower has low pressure in the hallway bathroom. Maintenance had installed a new shower cartridge and that did not resolve the issue. ASAP needed water to be shut off to unit in order to properly diagnose the issue. ASAP rescheduled to come back when water can be shut off to the unit.
Maintenance had water shut off to the unit. ASAP removed shower cartridge and hot stopper from the shower valve. ASAP had hot water turned on to unit in an attempt to blowout sediment that may have gotten stuck in hotline. Water was slowly coming out of fully open shower valve. ASAP saw cut a larger hole around shower valve. ASAP saw cut out old shower valve from the wall. ASAP had hot water turned on again in an attempt to blow out sediment. Water was still slowly coming out from hot side. ASAP jammed 6ft of fish tape (SmallFlexible Plastic Line) through hot side. Immediately after jamming fish tape through hotline, residual water and sediment came out hotline.
ASAP soldered in new Moen Posi-Temp shower valve. ASAP tub spout and shower arm with head. ASAP turned on water back to the unit. ASAP checked for leaks, there are no leaks at this time. ASAP installed a chrome Smitty plate with Handle. ASAP caulked around Smitty plate, tub spout and shower arm.
Sean from Asap drain guys was very helpful from start to finish. Sean was able to go the extra mile to walk me and the tenant through his corrections that were made to finalize the work that was done. Outstanding customer service and highly recommended for my next job, thank you.
