A property manager called ASAP Drain Guys to investigate a leaky shower head at one of their rental properties. While investigating the technician checked the incoming pressure to the house and found it to be at 100PSI. The recommended PSI for a residential property should be in a range of 50-70 PSI. Pressure that is too high can cause stress on the homes fixtures causing them to leak. After informing the property manager of the recommended repairs and receiving approval, the technician replaced the shower head and shut down the water for the next repairs. The technician began by removing the existing 3/4″ pressure regulator, 1/2″ gate valve and leaking hosebib. A new 1/2″ ball valve was installed to replace the old gate valve, new 3/4″ pressure regulator and a new hosebib were installed. The water was restored to the home to test the repairs for any leaks and ensure proper function. Pressure was checked and found it at 50 PSI. All other repairs were found to be working properly and the work areas were cleaned up.
