Replacement of Drain Line in Hotel Kitchen in Del Mar, CA

ASAP jetted floor drain numerous times and was unsuccessful.

ASAP Attempted snaking numerous times and cable kept coming back up with dirt. This was an indication the drain is broken.

ASAP located sewer mainline to be able to reroute floor drains that are being effected.

August 11th, 2020

Taped off kitchen with plastic. Removed kitchen compartment sink. Jack hammered 3×3 section of concrete.

Exposed piping. Removed entire drain including p trap. Removed 3’ section of sewer main.

Installed new 3×2 santee. Installed 3” clean out. Connected new fitting onto existing floor drain.

Tested for leaks, no leaks occurring at this time.

Back filled trench with native soil. Rough patched trench. Reinstalled compartment sink and tea dispenser machine.

Reinstalled existing drain back into floor drain.

Ran water down compartment sink once again to check for leaks and blockages.

Everything working properly at this time.

Cleaned work area.
