A commercial property management contacted ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing to repair a broken drain pipe in one of their restaurants. According to the store manager, the previous plumbing company was able to get to approximately 2 feet down the line before hitting sand and could not clean nor repair the line any further.
The ASAP technician sectioned off the work area. He then jackhammered the floor and dug down to expose the drain line. The tech then replaced the broken drain line with new ABS plastic piping. It had completely collapsed underneath the concrete slab. The trench was backfilled, compacted, and filled with concrete.
The technician also observed that the remainder of the line is very old and in poor condition. If the line continues to back up, more of it may need to be replaced.
