Repaired Clogged Kitchen Sink in San Diego, CA

A property management company called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because a tenant’s kitchen sink was completely backed up.

Upon arrival, the ASAP technician had to vacuum water out of the sink in order to properly snake the drain. The P-trap also needed to be cut out because it was glued on and there no proper clean out. Once the P-trap was removed, the tech found a massive amount of food stuck in the P-trap and the sanitary tee in the wall.

The tech ran a quarter inch cable to break up the remaining food in the san-tee and then put the drain back together using a 1 1/2″ Fernco coupling. The drain was tested by running water for 10 minutes. It is draining properly at this time.

The tech also recommended that the customer replace the garbage disposal as the current disposal was no longer working properly.
