Leak Repair and Ball Valve Replacement in Oceanside, CA
A mobile home park management company in Oceanside, Ca called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because of leak at the water stand pipe coming to the house before the meter. The tee had to be replaced and it is about 1 foot underground. It was a 3/4″ galvanized pipe.
The ASAP technician arrived on site and found the leak on a 3/4 galvanize line coming off the PVC tee. The technician had to dig around the line to get proper access to make the repair. The water supply was shut off by the on-site maintenance manager. It took about an hour for water to drain. The ASAP technician cut off the galvanized line and unthreaded the line.
The maintenance manager also wanted a new 3/4 ball valve installed. The ASAP technician installed a new piece of copper line with a new ball valve and slowly restored water. He flushed out the system properly and checked for leaks. There are no leaks found at this time. Lastly the technician cleaned up work area. The maintenance manager put the dirt back in place.
