A homeowner in San Diego, Ca found ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing through Home Depot’s ProReferral system. The homeowner suspected a slab leak in his bathroom floor as the floor near the toilet was hot and the copper line under the slab has leaked before.
The ASAP technician performed a slab leak detection to find the line underground. He confirmed that there was a slab leak on the hot water line to the master bathroom. The water supply to the home was then shut off. He ran the new line from the tankless at 3/4 pex. He ran the line up through the ceiling, dropping down for the shower, the continuing above the master bathroom. He then teed off and dropped down behind the toilet and crossed over to the master lavatory due to the mirror being glued and thus being a liability to remove. The technician continued to run in 3/4 to the shared wall for the secondary bathroom. He teed off 1/2″ and dropped down for the secondary bathroom shower and lavatory sink. He strapped new lines every 4ft and isolated every hole.
The technician also installed new angle stops, one for each lavatory sink. The water supply was restored to the home and checked for leaks and proper function. There are no leaks at this time and the new system is working properly. The technician also recommended a remediation company to professionally dry out the walls.
