Leak Detection and Slab Leak Repair in Fallbrook, CA

A fitness center in Fallbrook, Ca called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because of a pinhole leak on a 1 1/2″ line between the sidewalk and where the line feeds into the building. They believed it to be about 3 to 4 feet down.

Upon arrival the ASAP technician found water streaming out from side of the property near the meter. The technician was unable to perform a leak detection due to area having two different layers of asphalt. He cut out a large section of asphalt and chased water leak using compressed air to locate it. After chasing the leak, the technician found the leak to be caused by a cracked 11/2 PVC 90 degree fitting underground. He temporarily capped it off and returned following day.

The technician cut and disposed of approximately 3 ft of copper pipe and a small section of PVC pipe. He installed a new section of type L copper pipe and sch 80 PVC pipe and fittings where needed. The water was restored and he tested his work for leaks. There are no leaks found at this time. He backfilled the trench using native soil and cleaned up work area. Asphalt repairs to be performed by another company.
