A property management company called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because of a mainline leak at the isolation valve outside of their building at space #61.
Upon arrival, the technician found water coming up from the shut off boxes. He dug to expose the water lines but was unable to properly expose the water line. The technician jackhammered the concrete to expose the water line and found a 2″ line with a 4″ X 1 1/2″ X 2″ PVC tee. He was able to slow the leak down with a cap. The management company asked the technician to leave the water on to the property overnight and the technician would come back the following day.
On the second day on-site, the tech removed the 2″ PVC 90 with a small section of PVC piping. Once the glue was dried the water supply was turned back on. He waited for the line to pressurize but the repair did not work. The tech had to rebuild the 2″ PVC 90 with a small section of PVC piping. He poured a concrete kicker around the PVC tee. The water supply was turned back on and lines pressurized. The lines were checked for leaks but there are no leaks at this time.
The technician arrived on the 3rd day to haul away old saturated dirt. He brought back new sand to backfill the trench. The shut off covers for the waterlines were re-installed. He then poured a new patch of concrete and cleaned up the work area.
