Customer called ASAP Drain Guys and Plumbing because of a tenant’s clogged tub. Upon arrival, ASAP noticed that was severe flooding in the master bathroom and bedroom. The waste and overflow was broken. ASAP recommended replacing waste and overflow drain for the tub located in the master bathroom.
ASAP pulled the toilet in the master bathroom in order to cable snake the mainline. ASAP cabled the mainline from the toilet closet drain line using 1/2″ cable with blades and was able to clear the blockage within the first 30 to 40 feet. The tech found that the closet flange in broken and there was a temporary closet repair flange already incorrectly installed which needed to be replaced immediately.
ASAP temporarily installed the toilet with a new wax ring but it is not secured to the ground.
ASAP performed a camera inspection of the sewer line to find two major root intrusions inside sewer line. One is located underneath the building and the second root intrusion is located outside of the second unit. ASAP recommends immediate repair of the sewer line before it clogs again. ASAP also notes that double sweep clean outs should be installed once the sewer line is exposed in order to hydrojett the sewer line to remove roots under the building.
