A property management company called ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing because of a backed up mainline at one of their shopping centers. The mainline was recently lined by another lining company but they were unsuccessful at removing the obstruction. A dig up was recommended.
Upon arrival ASAP ran the mainline cable through multiple cleanouts, first from the cleanout located in the front of the building which fed into the bowling alley as far as 125 feet. ASAP was unable to clear the obstruction from this point.
ASAP then worked the cable and near the shopping center’s fitness center and nail salon and was able to get closer to the obstruction in the line.
The tech searched for cleanouts clogged up to the top. He ran the mainline cable through three cleanouts behind the building and noticed none of them cleared after running the cable all the way through. A second ASAP technician used a 1/2 inch mainline sewer machine to connect to the first machine and snaked an additional 15 feet to successfully clear the line. The tech then ran water through the drain for approximately five minutes to test for clogging. The line is clear at this time.
Lastly, ASAP recommended to the property management company that the mainline be camera inspected to investigate any further issues.
